about my therapy practice
I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania with decades of experience supporting people through many different chapters of life. Over the years, I’ve worked in private practice, community mental health, university counseling centers, primary schools, and grief support spaces. My approach as a therapist is holistic, with an awareness and analysis of cultural, community, and systemic impacts on mental health. My practice is LGBTQ-affirming and rooted in liberation.
My areas of focus include grief, depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, identity exploration, trauma recovery, family dynamics and relationship patterns. I bring warmth, empathy, openness, creativity, and a sense of humor to my work, believing that the therapeutic container can be both deeply reflective and surprisingly playful at times.
My practice draws from somatic approaches and mindfulness, Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts), and an awareness of social and cultural constructs that shape our experience. I am EMDR-trained, and have seen the profound impact of this treatment on getting to the roots of our self-beliefs in order to meet the present in new ways.
I believe change is always possible. Talking with a compassionate, non-judgmental therapist can offer new understanding, relief, support, and a sense of alignment even amid uncertainty.
My role is to walk beside you as you rediscover your own capacity for healing, connection, and growth.
Whether you’ve been in therapy before or are exploring it for the first time, I welcome you to reach out for a free phone consultation to see if we’re a good fit. My fees are offered on a sliding scale. I look forward to speaking with you!
With care,
Beth
