I am a licensed professional counselor with years of experience in a wide range of settings - private practice, community mental health, grief support, university counseling centers, schools, and rehabilitation facilities. My approach is holistic, with an awareness of cultural and systemic impacts on mental health, and an intersectional lens.

 

Areas of expertise include grief and loss, depression, anxiety and stress, self-esteem, family systems, identity exploration, trauma recovery, and interpersonal relationships. I bring a deep sense of empathy, openness, creativity, warmth, compassion, and a sense of humor to the therapeutic relationship. Using modalities of mindfulness practices, insight-based talk therapy, and CBT, we will work together to integrate your experiences that need healing and/or understanding.

Mindfulness, 'awareness with compassion', is a tool I teach in Philadelphia schools and incorporate into my private practice.
